Children's Waistcoat (vest) and Skirts: Lined, edge to edge waistcoat with shaped front hem has braid trim. Full skirts have double elasticated waist. Models 1 and 2 have skirt gathered onto yoke. Model 1 has contrast yoke and lower ruffle. Model 2 has braid trim. Model 3 is worn with a net underskirt.
Fabrics and Notions:
Suggested fabrics: Raw silk, taffeta, cotton, shantung and synthetics. Waistcoat (vest) also in brocade, velvet and wool. No allowance made for matching plaids, checks, stripes or large patterned fabrics. For fabric with nap, pile, shading or one-way design: use nap requirements and nap layouts.
To complete garment – Thread. Waistcoat vest: Zips. 90cm of braid. Models 1, 2 and 3 skirt: 1⅓yds (1.30m) of ¼" (5mm) wide elastic. Model 1 skirt: 5⅞yds (5.50m) of braid. Model 3 skirt: Purchased net underskirt.
